SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Shaw University women's soccer team and Converse College couldn't settle anything after 90 minutes, playing to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday night.

The draw stands the Lady Bears at 0-4-1 overall while Converse holds a 0-1-1 mark on the season.

The Lady Bears outscored the Valkayries, 10-9, but were evenly matched in corners with Converse (4-4) as Shaw was unable to find the back of the net. Junior Jayana Nicholson (Hamlet, NC) put a pair of shots on goal in the contest while junior Jasa Curry (Ellicott City, MD) also had a good scoring opportunity in the second half. 

Senior Shianne Duplantis (West Palm Beach, FL) logged 90 minutes, recording her first shutout of the season as she was forced to make eight saves total. 

The Lady Bears will return to action on Mar. 12 for its home finale against Barton. Game time is set for 6:45 p.m. at WRAL Soccer Park.
