Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University men's and women's soccer teams will head to Winston-Salem, N.C. to face Piedmont International College on Monday, Oct. 8 for a doubleheader. The women's game will start at 5 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.

The Men's Game:
Shaw is 3-6-1 overall, the Bears are coming off a 3-0 defeat by Catawba Saturday. Senior Thiago Sooma (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and senior Thilo Wilke (Karlstadt, Germany) both lead the offense with four goals on the season. Freshman Theo Delaleu (Les Essarts Le Roi, France) leads the goalkeeper unit with 36 saves (.643%) and a 2-3-1 overall record.
The Bruins men's soccer squad is 2-6 overall, coming off a 3-1 loss to Greensboro College.
Both teams enter Monday's match on a five game losing skid.
The Women's Game:
The Lady Bears are 6-1 overall, the Lady Bears had its six game win-streak snapped by Catawba Saturday. The 6-0 start was a program best. Shaw has been led by freshman Jasa Curry (Ellicott City, MD) with 11 goals while sophomore Shianne Duplantis (West Palm Beach, FL) is 2-1 overall at the goalkeeper position with team-best 22 saves (.759%).
The Lady Bruins are also 2-6 after falling 8-0 by Greensboro College in its last outing.
Piedmont International is a member of the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA).
Monday's doubleheader will mark the first-ever meeting between both the men's and women's programs.
