RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's soccer team travels to Wilson, N.C. to face Barton College on Wednesday, Sept. 6. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams:
This will be the first meeting between both teams in program history. Shaw enters Wednesday's action with a 0-1 mark and Barton welcomes the Lady Bears with a 0-2 start. The Lady Bears are coming off 3-0 setback to Emmanuel (Ga.) on Sept. 1, while the Lady Bulldogs dropped their last two decisions to the University of Missouri-St. Louis (2-1) on Sept. 1 and Catawba, 2-0 on Sept. 3.

The Players:
The Lady Bears are still looking for their first goal on the season. Leslie Medoza (Miami Beach, FL) posted Shaw's lone shot on goal while goal keeper Shianna Duplantis (Charlotte, NC) leads the defense with 15 saves on the young season.

Jordan London leads the Lady Bulldogs with one goal scored on the early season while two players have earned one shot on goal each. Defensively, Haley Sauls has a team-best nine saves.

Next Up for Shaw:
The Lady Bears will continue their road skid when they head to Coker on Sept. 9 with a kickoff time scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
