Raleigh. NC - The visiting Catawba Indians broke open a 1-1 tie with two late first-half goals to blow open the match and race past the Shaw University Lady Bears 6-2 in Shaw's home opener Tuesday evening inside Durham County Memorial Stadium.

The Lady Bears see their record fall to 0-2-0 with the defeat while Catawba jumps to 3-0.

Shaw returns to the pitch on Saturday, September 3 as they face West Virginia State in Wilson, NC at the J Burt Gillette Athletic Complex. (3238 Corbett Ave NE, Wilson, NC 27893 ) Match time is slated for 5 PM.
