RALEIGH, NC - The Shaw University softball team is set to kick off its 2025 season this Saturday, February, 8, against Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia.

The double header is slated to get underway with game one at 12 PM followed by game two at 2 PM at the Lady Panthers Softball Field. 

The Lady Bears are looking to build on their 8-23 finish in 2024 which saw Shaw qualify for the CIAA Softball Championship for the first time in recent history and are excited to begin the new season with a good returning nucleus and also a strong recruiting class put together by Interim head coach Reginald Cooper. 

The game against Clark Atlanta University is the first of several non-conference match ups for the Lady Bears. They will also compete in the CIAA/SIAC Crossover and will face teams such as  Raleigh neighbor William Peace University, its home opener against the University of Mt. Olive and Belmont Abbey College.
