BALTIMORE, MD (February 24, 2024) – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the nation's oldest Historically Black Athletic Conference, announces the brackets for its 2024 Women's and Men's Basketball Tournament. The single-elimination tournament will be held in CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, MD on February 26 - March 2nd. Championship games will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. for the women followed by the men at 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26th. Each bracket is seeded based on Division record. If division records are tied, the first tiebreaker is head-to-head results followed by point differential. 

The Lady Bears finished with the sixth seed in the South earning a rematch with the Virginia Union University Panthers Tuesday, February 27 at 2:20 PM.  Shaw won the only matchup this season at home in a 63-59 thriller on January 6.

The Shaw Bears men's team earned a fourth seed in the South sliding through with two tiebreaker scenarios to setup a clash with the Elizabeth City State University Vikings also on February 27 at 8:50 PM. The Bears will look for revenge as ECSU took the lone season matchup in Elizabeth City, NC 71-65 on January 9.
