RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's soccer team will make its season debut with two games this week.

The Lady Bears will open on the road against Emory & Henry in Emory, Va., on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 5 p.m. Their home opener is Saturday, Sept. 2, against West Virginia Tech at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, N.C. Game time is 3 p.m.

Shaw will play Emory & Henry for the first time ever. The Lady Bears defeated West Virginia Tech 3-0 a year ago in Montgomery, W. Va.

The Lady Bears will attempt to better last year's record of 6-8-3.
