Box Score Wilson, NC - It only took one for the Shaw University men's soccer team to extend their winning streak Monday night as Shaw defeated host Barton College 1-0.

Shaw ups their record to 2-1-0 with the road victory while Barton drops to 1-3-0 on the season.

In a match that was physical from the opening whistle, the Bears were awarded seven yellow cards compared to just two for the Bulldogs. Barton led in the overall foul count 13-7. The Bulldogs outshot the Bears 18-11 in overall shots while Shaw was held to just two shots in the final 45 minutes of action. Lukas Dudziak was credited with three saves earning his second win of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The game-winning goal came in the 42' as Wissem Obeid connected on a cross to Boisey Armwood who found the back of the net to put the Bears ahead for good at 1-0.
