ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - The Shaw University softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to the Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Bears fell 12-4 in the opener and 6-5 in the nightcap.

The loss starts the Lady Bears 2021 season 0-2 overall while ECSU improves to 3-7.

Shaw and Elizabeth City State will meet again next Tuesday, Apr. 13 when the Lady Bears host the Lady Vikings in a non-conference twinbill. Game time is set for 1 p.m. from Worthdale Park.
