Against VUU, the Lady Bears earned three runs to open the contest led by Zahrea Lewis' (Savannah, GA) double to centerfield that brought home Kline. Ngeve followed up with a hit up the middle to advance Lewis and Jackson to home plate.

Shaw had a 5-1 lead over the course of two innings but VUU tallied six runs in the top of the fifth to take a 7-5 lead. The Lady Bears got within one-point with Rogers home run and would tie the contest at 8-8 when Kline and Chynna Gross (Orange Park, FL) scored on VUU's miscues.

In the extra innings, the Lady Panthers tacked on three more in the top of the eighth and held the Lady Bears in the bottom half of the frame as Shaw suffered the 11-10 loss after eight innings.
