RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University women's soccer team has officially released its 2025 schedule, featuring a competitive slate of matches across the Southeast and multiple showdowns at Durham County Memorial Stadium.
The Lady Bears kick off the campaign on the road Thursday, September 4, against Ferrum College in Ferrum, Va. The opening month includes seven consecutive road matches, including contests at Southern Wesleyan, Pfeiffer, Methodist, and Newberry.
Shaw makes its highly anticipated home debut on Sunday, September 14, hosting West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Durham. The Lady Bears return home on October 1 to face the University of Mount Olive and will host three additional home matches in October and November, including visits from Virginia State (Oct. 22), Allen University (Oct. 26), and Bluefield State (Nov. 1).
Shaw closes the regular season with a road rematch at Virginia State University on November 4 before setting its sights on postseason play. The Lady Bears will participate in the Independents Championship on November 7 in Petersburg, Va., with hopes of advancing to the USCAA National Championships, scheduled for November 14 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
" In our pursuit of our third consecutive small college national championship, we continue to raise the level of competition for our women's team. We have one of the most experienced rosters we've had in years, and I am looking forward to watching this group tackle this difficult schedule."
Shaw will look to build upon last season's foundation as the program continues to elevate its presence in the Southeast region and in the USCAA national picture looking to win their third straight USCAA National Championship.
