Fuquay-Varina, NC - Shaw quarterback Christian Peters has been named HBCU National Player of the Week by BOXTOROW.

Peters, a redshirt-senior from Charlotte, N.C., tallied 397 yards of total offense in leading the Bears to a come-from-behind 43-40 victory at Albany State.
He was involved in all but one of Shaw's scores. He completed 20-of-42 passes for 322 yards with five touchdowns and ran for 75 yards on 14 carries
and one touchdown.

He led Shaw on two scoring drives within a 1:46 time frame including his 28-yard touchdown pass to Ah'shaan Belcher with :08 remaining which was the game-winner.

Peters will be highlighted on the nationally syndicated sports talk show BOXTOROW with Donal Ware which airs on radio stations across the
