RALEIGH, NC - The Shaw University Lady Bears Track and Field team will begin its quest for a CIAA championship beginning Friday morning May 3, 2024 concluding on Saturday May 4, 2024. 
The championship will be held ad Durham County Memorial Stadium for the second straight year home of Shaw Uniiversity football and soccer. 

The Lady Bear will be looking to improve on last years fourth place finish where Shaw held a lead late in day one but held a second place finish going into the final day of competition. The fourth place finish was the best since 2018 for the Lady Bears who improved drastically from their 7th place finish in 2022. 

Fayetteville State defended its CIAA crown with 171.13 points followed by Virginia State (89) and Saint Augustine's (77.13). The Lady Bears (72.26 points) were five points away from claiming third place.
