BALTIMORE - The Shaw women's basketball team is picked to finish fifth overall and second in the Southern Division in the CIAA Predicted Order of Finish, which was announced Monday during CIAA Basketball Media Day at the Renaissance Hotel Inner Harbor.

The Lady Bears are coming off a season in which they reached the CIAA Championship Game. They finished 18-14 overall including a 12-4 record at home inside historic C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium.

Shaw has been the premier women's basketball program in the CIAA, winning nine conference championships and one NCAA Division II national title under legendary Head Coach Jacques Curtis.
