HIGH POINT, N.C. (April 1) – Symone Wright of Shaw University posted a top-10 time in the 400-meter hurdles at the VertKlasse Meeting track & field meet on Saturday.

Wright crossed the finish line in 1:05.95, good enough for eighth place in the 400-meter hurdles. She was one of 34 hurdlers in the event, which was held at Vert Stadium on the High Point University campus.

Wright provided one of two highlights for the Lady Bears at the meet. Daina Morrison threw the javelin 105-9 feet, which leads all CIAA throwers this season.
