RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University Bears will continue their road slate to begin their conference portion of the schedule and look for their first win on the season, when they travel to Lincoln, Pa., to take on the Lions of the Lincoln University in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) matchup.

Both teams will be looking for their first conference win on the season, with the Bears coming off a 16-6 setback to UNC Pembroke and the Lions coming off a 28-24 loss to Alderson Broaddus.
Travis Lock (Lynbrook, NY) scored the lone touchdown for the Bears against UNC Pembroke. Quenton Rucker was 18-of-35 in pass attempts for a total of 273 yards, while defensively, Roland Green (Bluffton, SC) had a game-high 13 tackles including eight solo and five assisted.
Saturday's contest will mark the 18th time Shaw and the Lincoln will meet on the gridiron. The Bears hold a 10-7 all-time record against the Lions.
Shaw has won the last eight meetings, including last season's contest that saw the Bears defeat the Lincoln 38-27 in Durham County Memorial Stadium.
The Lincoln (2-1) accounted for 155 offensive yards, with Edward McKenzie completing 9-of-18 pass attempts for 103 total yards in the loss to Alderson Broaddus. Defensively, Wadel Louis and Rhamir Thomas led the Lincoln defense in tackles with 13 and 11 tackles, respectively.
