RALEIGH, N.C. – For the 55th time in program history, the Shaw University football team will meet the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University on Saturday, Oct. 24th in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division contest at the Irwin Belk Complex. Kickoff is slated to begin at 1 p.m.

The Golden Bulls lead the all-time series with a 30-23-2 record overall against the Bears.
The Bears will look to end their losing streak on Saturday, after dropping seven consecutive games on the season.
Offensively, SU is led by Marquise Grizzle (Camden, NC) on the ground with 248 yards on the season, while quarterbacks Quenton Rucker (Atlanta, GA) and Terrence Shambry II (Chesapeake, VA) have combined for a total of 1, 134 yards on 95-of-204 passing. Shambry II has started the last two games for the Bears, including last week's contest against Livingstone – connecting with eight different receivers.
Moses White (Gordan Heights, NY) leads the Bears defense with a total of 74 tackles on the season, following Roland Green (Bluffton, SC) with 71 and Thomas Street (Compton, CA) who has tallied 46.
Johnson C. Smith (2-5 overall, 1-3 CIAA) enters the game after defeating Fayetteville State 37-20 at home.
For the Golden Bulls, Harold Herbin led the offense with 90 yards rushing and 124 passing yards and two touchdowns against FSU. Receivers Fred Scott and Roderick Carter combined for three touchdowns, while defensively; Carlo Thomas picked off four passes and returned two for touchdowns in the victory.
