RALEIGH, N.C. – The Shaw University football team will host Livingstone College on Saturday, October 17th at Durham County Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. as both teams will meet for the 32nd time in program history.
The Bears leads the all-time series 18-11-3 against the Blue Bears.
Shaw (0-6, 0-3 CIAA) is coming off a 29-36 setback against Fayetteville State, while Livingstone (2-2, 1-2 CIAA) beat Saint Augustine's, 31-7.
The Bears tallied 285 total offense against FSU, including 215 through the air and 70 on the ground. Terrence Shambry II (Chesapeake, VA) made his debut at the quarterback position, throwing four touchdown passes for 215 yards. He was 19-for-32 in pass completions in his first start.
Defensively, the Bears are paced by Roland Green (Bluffton, SC) who has hauled in 63 total tackles on the year, followed by Moses White (Gordan Heights, NY) who has 62 on the season.
The Blue Bears finished with 358 yards of total offense against SAU, with Jarod Richardson running for a team-high 99 yards and a touchdown, while defensively, Jaron Richardson tallied nine tackles, including two solo and seven assisted.
