BLUEFIELD, WV -  Shaw University women's tennis completed a dominant weekend performance, finishing a perfect 5-0 at the CIAA Tennis Roundup held in Bluefield, West Virginia March 21-22.

The Lady Bears opened play on Day 1 with a 4-2 victory over Bluefield State before closing the day in commanding fashion with a 4-0 sweep of Elizabeth City State.

Shaw carried that momentum into Day 2, continuing its impressive run with a 4-0 win over Bowie State. The Lady Bears followed with back-to-back shutouts, defeating Virginia Union 4-0 and Virginia State 4-0 to cap off an undefeated showing.

Across the two-day event, Shaw posted four shutouts and did not drop a single match point on Day 2, showcasing depth and consistency throughout the lineup.

The Lady Bears will return to action on March 26, traveling to Raleigh, North Carolina to face North Carolina A&T. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
