RALEIGH, NC – Head Coach Lamar Manigo, standout linebacker Quewon Hilliard, and quarterback Justin Wheeler will represent the Bears at the 2025 CIAA Football Media Day. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, and will take place at the DoubleTree Raleigh-Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park. The event will begin at 9:00 AM and will be streamed live on www.theciaasn.com

Shaw's participation at Media Day highlights the program's start under new leadership with first year Head Coach Manigo, who returns to Raleigh after two years as the offensive coordinator/ assistant head coach at Virginia State University.

Hilliard returns to the field as the anchor on the Bears defense finishing with 44 total tackles during his RS-FR campaign including a season high 11 against JCSU. Wheeler will be in the fierce competition for the starting quarterback slot, looking to replace Christian Peters.

The Bears open the 2025 season August 31 as they host Albany State University. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 PM inside Durham County Memorial Stadium.
