Raleigh, N.C. – Shaw head football coach Lamar Manigo and the Department of Athletics have officially announced the 2025 football schedule, which features 10 games, including five home contests at Durham County Memorial Stadium.

The Bears will kick off the season at home on Saturday, August 30, against Albany State University, marking a key non-conference match up to open the year. After a bye week on September 6, Shaw will hit the road for back-to-back away games against Ferrum College (September 13) and Lincoln University (Pa.) (September 20) for their CIAA opener before returning to Durham to host the defending CIAA Champion, Virginia Union University, on September 27.

The month of October brings a crucial stretch of conference match ups, beginning with an away trip to Bluefield State University on October 4. The Bears then gear up for a three-game home stand, starting with Winston-Salem State University on October 11. Homecoming is set for October 18 against Johnson C. Smith University, followed by Senior Day on October 25 versus Fayetteville State University.

Shaw concludes the regular season with two road contests: Livingstone College on November 1, and a non-conference finale against Emory & Henry University on November 8.

The 2025 campaign promises excitement as the Bears aim to build on the momentum of last season and compete for a CIAA championship while starting a new era of Shaw football.
