Raleigh, NC – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) has honored Shaw University senior Marija Ristanovic as the CIAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her outstanding performances during the week ending April 13, 2025.?

Hailing from Belgrade, Serbia, Ristanovic achieved a flawless 4-0 record in doubles and a 3-0 record in singles play, with one unfinished match where she was leading 6-1. Her exceptional play was instrumental in the Lady Bears securing doubles points at the No. 1 position against formidable opponents Chowan University and Benedict College. She concluded the week with a dominant performance against Livingstone College, contributing to a team sweep of the Southern Division rival.?
