Raleigh, N.C. – Shaw University's women's tennis standout, Serena Teluwo, has been honored as the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Tennis Player of the Week. The recognition comes after her exceptional performances, leading the Lady Bears to key victories and solidifying her status as one of the top players in the conference.

Teluwo delivered dominant performances in both singles and doubles play, showcasing her skill, determination, and leadership on the court. Her contributions were instrumental in Shaw's recent 4-1 victory over Johnson C. Smith University and Winston-Salem State helping the Lady Bears start CIAA action 2-0 last week. 

This accolade adds to an impressive season for Teluwo and the Lady Bears as they push forward in CIAA competition at the CIAA Round-Up this weekend hosted in Bowie, MD. Shaw University will look to carry their momentum into their upcoming match March 12 as they face Avertett in Danville, VA.
