Abraham, McIntyre Combine to Score 44, Shaw Takes Down Livingstone

Abraham Finishes with a Career High 26 Points

SALISBURY, NC --Darius Abraham and Trent McIntyre combined to score 44 total points - 63.8 percent of Shaw's points - in the Bears 69-66 victory against the Livingstone Blue Bears on the road Saturday.

The Bears (9-9, 4-2) had two players score in double figures, led by Abraham, who had 26 points. McIntyre tacked on 18 points, eight assists and two steals and Jermaine Vereen added six points, nine rebounds, two steals and three blocks.

The Shaw offense was very productive from beyond the arc, making nine threes on 26 attempts. Abraham was the most prolific shooter for the Bears, draining five treys in the contest.

Shaw's defense held Livingstone to only 38.7 percent shooting from the field. The Blue Bears did not have much luck cleaning up their misses on the offensive glass either, as they finished with eight offensive rebounds and managed nine second chance points while Shaw cleared 25 defensive rebounds.
