Lady Bears Shutout on Road

FLORENCE, SC - The Lady Bears soccer team fell behind on the road and couldn't recover as they fell to the Francis Marions Patriots 4-0 in a match Saturday evening in Florence, SC.

With the loss, Shaw's record falls to 3-4 while FMU improves to 4-1-2.

The Patriots used three first half goals to build a 3-0 lead before icing the game with a tally after the break for the four goal victory.

Shaw was outshot 15-5 total for the contest with 9 shots being credited on goal for FMU to just two for the Lady Bears. 

In an aggressive match up that saw 20 fouls called, three cards were awarded to the Lady Bears while FMU received just one. 

The Lady Bears return to action on Oct.2 as they travel to USC Aiken for a 4:30 PM match up.
