AIKEN, SC - The Shaw University Lady Bears fell behind early and never regained footing as they dropped a 2-0 decision to the USC Aiken Pacers Wednesday afternoon on the road.
The Lady Bears now sit at 3-5 while the Pacers jump to 2-5-2 winning their second straight contest.Â
Shaw found themselves trailing 2-0 after two USC Aiken goals in the first 21 minutes of action. Shaw settled in to go into the half down two. Neither team found the back of the net after the break extending the Lady Bears scoreless streak to two straight matches.Â
The Pacers held a small 11-8 total shot advantage with the rest of the match being basically even in saves (five), corner kicks (3-2 USCA) and fouls (7-7)
Shaw will look to get back on track Saturday October 5th as they travel to Ettrick, VA to face the VIrginia State University Trojans. Kickoff is slated for 1 PM.Â
