RALEIGH, NC - Shaw University Athletics is thrilled to announce that Sharon Ngetich, a standout member of the women's cross country team, has been named the Female Cross Country Athlete of the Week by the CIAA (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) for her exceptional performance in the past week's meet.

Ngetich delivered a dominant performance at the Pfiffer Cross Country Invitational, securing a first place overall finish with a remarkable time of 19:42.9 in the women's 8K race.

Her impressive pace and endurance led her to victory against a competitive field, helping her team to a strong overall sixth place finish.
