SALISBURY, NC --The Shaw volleyball team needed just three sets (25-14, 25-18, 25-20) to knock off the Livingstone Blue Bears Wednesday on the road in Salisbury, NC
The win improved the Lady Bears' record to 20-3 overall and 12-0 in CIAA play.
The Lady Bears were led by a double-double from Amari Earl, who registered 13 kills and 15 digs on the day. Maelie Chupin also added nine kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Kalia Morris chipped in for with 17 digs to go with three blocks from Hailey Hopkins.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Bears grabbed control of the set-one lead at 6-5 and held the lead the rest of the way to win 25-14. Shaw opened up its biggest lead, 11 points, to close out the set. Shaw also supplemented their offense with four aces in the opening set. got a solid defensive performance from a front row that blocked six Livingstone attacks in the stanza.
SET 2 | Shaw continued to roll after a set-one win by securing a 25-18 victory in set two. The Lady Bears never trailed by more than five points and grabbed the advantage for good at 7-6 in a set that showcased two lead changes before Shaw took over the lead. The Shaw offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Shaw then ended the match with a victory in set number three. A powerful defensive effort from the front row helped the Lady Bears to a 25-20 victory. Shaw racked up eight blocks in the set win. The Lady Bears opened up a 22-16 lead in the stanza and coasted to victory from there.
