DURHAM, NC -
Hoslerson Joseph scored two goals to lead the Shaw men's soccer team to a 5-0 win over Carlow (Pa.) on a hot day at Durham County Stadium on Tuesday.
The Bears improved to 2-0-1 overall while Carlow fell to 0-1-1.
The trio of
Nathan Skeete,
Onwell Moyo and
Tanas Thorne each added a goal for the Bears, who outshot Carlow 26-3 and totaled more corner kicks 3-1. Carlow committed eight fouls and the Bears were called for five fouls.Â
Skeete started the scoring with a goal off a penalty kick in the first two minutes. Moyo later scored off a
DaVion Page assist and Joseph added a score for a 3-0 halftime lead. Thorne and Joseph each scored in the second half for the final score.
The Bears will visit Southern Wesleyan in Central, S.C., on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m. This will be their second game in two days.
