RALEIGH, N.C. (March 1) – The Shaw University women's tennis team begins its quest for a fifth straight CIAA title at home on Saturday, March 4.
The Lady Bears open the 2023 season against Winston-Salem State at Worthdale Park beginning at 2 p.m. The match is also the conference opener for Shaw, the four-time defending CIAA champion.
Shaw is led by legendary Head Coach Sunday Enitan, who is entering his 24
th season. Enitan has directed the Lady Bears to 11 CIAA Championships.
The roster consists of
Anja Antonijevic,
Prerana Koirala,
Chetna Kumari,
Jessa Michielli,
Dana Moreno,
Sevval Ozseker and
Hafsa Sanhaji. Moreno is a returning conference champion in singles and doubles and Kumari is a defending CIAA doubles champ. Antonijevic, the 2022 CIAA Rookie of the Year, won a league singles crown last year.
