DURHAM, NC - The Shaw men's soccer team fell to Catawba 4-1 on Wednesday night at Durham County Stadium.

The Bears dropped to 5-5-1 overall. Catawba improved to 7-1-1 overall.

Shaw fell behind 3-0 at halftime but Collin Gentle's goal sliced the deficit to 3-1. Catawba added a second half goal for the final score.

The Bears were outshot 17-15. Catawba led in corner kicks (5-4) and fouls (14-12), and each team was assessed a yellow card.

Shaw will face Virginia Perimeter Community College on Friday, Oct. 6, at WRAL Soccer Park in Raleigh, NC. The match starts at 1:30 p.m.
