WILSON, NC - The Shaw women's soccer team tied the game in the second half but eventually succumbed 3-1 to Barton at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex on Tuesday.
The loss snapped a four-game win streak for the Lady Bears, 11-4-1 overall. Barton upped its record to 5-5-4 overall.
The Lady Bears trailed 1-0 at halftime but
Matilde Strocchi scored to tie the game in the second half. The Bulldogs scored two goals to pull away for the win.
Shaw was outshot by a close 12-10 margin. Barton led in corner kicks 8-4 and fouls 12-11.

The next game for the Lady Bears is Monday, Oct. 30, at home against Virginia State. The contest begins at 5 p.m. at Durham County Stadium in Durham, N.C.
