Charlotte, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced its weekly tennis honors Tuesday morning naming two Lady Bears recipients of both titles with Anja Antonijevic being named Food Lion Rookie of the Week while Michelle Blaha was named Food Lion Player of the Week. 

Playing in the #2 singles position, Blaha finished a perfect 4-0 for the week to include 3-0 at the CIAA Tennis Round-Up, going 8-0, 8-0, and 8-5 in three matches. The Entre Rios, Argentina native also partnered with teammate Dana Moreno to go 3-1 as the Bears #1 doubles team, winning 6-0, 6-3, and 4-3 against teams from Virginia Union, Elizabeth City State, and Bowie State respectively at the CIAA Tennis Round-Up.

Antonijevic partnered with Sevval Ozseker as the Bears #2 doubles team to go 4-0 on the week, including 3-0 at the CIAA Tennis Round-Up. The duo defeated the team from Benedict 6-1 on Tuesday and then went 6-0, 6-1, & 6-0 against teams from Virginia Union, Elizabeth City State, and Bowie State, respectively, in conference play.

The Lady Bears are back in action Tuesday, March 22 as they travel to Winston-Salem State University. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
