Shaw, Salem Battle to Scoreless Tie

Durham, NC - In a match that was physical from the opening whistle, Shaw and visting Salem (W.V) held each other to a scoreless 0-0 draw in the season finale for the Shaw University men's soccer team Wednesday afternoon inside Durham County Stadium. 

The referee's whistles were put to high usage as a total of 24 fouls were called during the match with 13 being called against the Bears and 11 being charged to the visitors. 

10 cards were issued with each team receiving five along with the Bears having one ejection in the second half. 

Total shots were also equal with both teams getting six shots while both starting keepers were awarded with three saves.  Salem held a clear advantage on corner kicks earning 11 chances compared to just two by Shaw.

Nathan Skeet led the Bears in shots with four followed by shots each by Lemar Catlyn and Shady Hammam.
