RALEIGH, N.C.  – On day one of the first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tennis Round-Up of the season, the men's and women's tennis teams kicked off day one with wins. Both teams defeated Virginia Union University, with the men's earning a 8-1 victory and the women's with a 7-2 win.

Later on that day, the Bears played the Panthers again and secured a 7-2 win while the Lady Bears notched a 7-0 win over Elizabeth City State University for their final match on the day.

The Lady Bears will return to action on Sunday, when they face Bowie State University at 9 a.m.
