WOMEN'S TENNIS HITS THE ROAD FOR LIVINGSTONE

RALEIGH, NC – The Shaw University women's tennis team will look to get back into the winning column at Livingstone College on Thursday, March 31 at 1 p.m. for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division matchup.

 

The Lady Bears (9-2, 7-1 CIAA) are coming a 5-4 setback to Chowan in their most recent outing, Ana Ruzir (Zagreb, Croatia)  and Simbiat Aleem (Lagos, Nigera) were the only Lady Bears to have won both singles matches after defeating their opponents 6-4 and 6-3 against the Hawks.

 

Livingstone (2-9, 2-7 CIAA) is coming off a 5-0 win against Elizabeth City State on March 20.

 

Shaw blanked the Lady Blue Bears back on March 8, 7-0 at Lions Park.

 

Following Thursday's action, Shaw will return to Raleigh to host Johnson C. Smith University on Saturday, April 2 for a CIAA matchup at Lions Park. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
