Reginald Cooper is the Interim Head Softball Coach at Shaw University for the 2023-24 season.
Cooper is also the Offensive Assistant on the Shaw football coaching staff. Prior to coaching at Shaw, Cooper coached at Saint Augustine's University.
Cooper was on the Saint Augustine's football staff from 2014 to 2016. He coached outside linebackers and kickers in addition to being the Special Assistant to the Head Coach. In 2019, Cooper was named Co-Interim Head Football Coach at Saint Augustine's for the final seven games of the season. He was also the Assistant Softball Coach at Saint Augustine's from 2021 to 2023.
A Rocky Mount, N.C., native, Cooper graduated from Saint Augustine's with an organizational management degree in May 2016.
During his prep days, Cooper was an all-conference football and baseball player at Northern Nash High School in Rocky Mount, N.C.
Cooper is married to Sharhonda and they have a daughter, Kayla, and son, Chase.
