Reginald Cooper begins his third season on the Shaw football staff as Offensive Assistant.
Prior to coaching at Shaw, Cooper was Co-Interim Head Football Coach at Saint Augustine's for the final seven games of the 2019 season. He re-joined the football staff at the beginning of the season as quarterbacks coach. Cooper was also the assistant softball coach at Saint Augustine's.
Cooper was previously on the Saint Augustine's coaching staff from 2014 to 2016. He coached outside linebackers and kickers in addition to being the Special Assistant to the Head Coach during his tenure.
A Rocky Mount, N.C., native, Cooper graduated from Saint Augustine's with an organizational management degree in May 2016.
During his prep days, Cooper was an all-conference football and baseball player at Northern Nash High School in Rocky Mount, N.C.
Cooper is married to Sharhonda and they have a daughter, Kayla, and son, Chase.
