RALEIGH, NC -The Shaw University volleyball team will begin their quest to repeat history this weekend as they host the 2024 Shaw U Invitational inside C.C Spaulding Gymnasium September 6-7.

Five games are scheduled throughout the weekend as Shaw welcomes Barton College, Catawba College and the University of Mount Olive to Spaulding Gymnasium. 

Admission will be $10 per day with re-entry allowed on Friday. No outside food or beverages will be allowed. 

The Lady Bears return a strong nucleus from their 2023 CIAA Championship squad that finished with a program best 31 wins while also bringing in a strong class of mixed newcomers. Shaw has been predicted to repeat as CIAA Champions in the CIAA preseason poll.

Friday, September 6
 

• 2 PM - Catawba vs Barton
• 4 PM - Catawba vs UMO
• 6 PM - Shaw vs Barton

Saturday, September 7
 

• 12 PM -  Shaw vs UMO
• 2 PM - Shaw vs Catawba
