Raleigh, NC – Shaw University's men's soccer team faced a challenging match against Salem University, falling 4-1 in a hard-fought contest Monday afternoon at Wake Stone Soccer Park.
The Bears have now dropped two straight contest after opening the season with a win last Thursday and now sit at 1-2-0. Salem improves to 1-1-0.
Salem struck first in the 25 minute. Shaw tied the match at 1-1 with a goal from
Jesse Salas on a free kick. The visitors took control of the rest of the match adding goals after the break in the 47th, 51st and 67th minutes.
Shaw returns to action Friday, September 14 as they host Virginia Peninsula CC. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 at Wake Stone Park.
