Raleigh, NC — Shaw University's volleyball team has earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Tournament and will face Gannon University in the opening round. The Lady Bears, led by Head Coach Jonathan Paulk, have had a stellar season, capturing their second straight CIAA Championship and securing their spot in the national tournament.

The match will take place on December 5, at Cathedral Prep's Hagerty Family Events Center. First serve is slated for 4:30 PM.

This marks Shaw University's sixth appearance in the NCAA tournament in program history while earning a birth in four of the last eight seasons.

Gannon University, a perennial powerhouse in the Atlantic Region, presents a challenging match-up. However, the Lady Bears are confident in their preparation and are eager to showcase their talent on the national stage. Shaw opened the eyes of the region last year as the Lady Bears came back from two sets down to defeat #2 seed Wheeling in the opening round.

"We are incredibly proud of our team's accomplishments this season," said Coach Paulk. "Competing in the NCAA Regionals is a great opportunity for our players to represent Shaw University and demonstrate their hard work and determination."
