RALEIGH, N.C. (April 17) - The Shaw University women's tennis team fell to Division I North Carolina A&T State 4-1 at Worthdale Park on Monday in the final regular-season match for the Lady Bears. Shaw was competitive in the loss.

The Lady Bears finished the regular season 11-4 overall, including a 10-0 CIAA mark. Three of the losses were to Division I teams.

The Lady Bears, who clinched the Southern Division title, begin their quest for a fifth straight CIAA crown this weekend in Ettrick, Va. The conference championship tournament is set for April 21-22 at the Virginia State Tennis Complex.
