RALEIGH, N.C. (April 12) - The Shaw University women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day with a 4-0 CIAA victory over Johnson C. Smith at Worthdale Park on Wednesday.
The win kept the Lady Bears spotless in the conference. They are 8-0 in the CIAA and 9-3 overall.
The trio of 
Dana Moreno, 
Prerana Koirala and 
Anja Antonijevic led the Lady Bears in singles. Moreno was victorius in No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-4, Koirala won No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-0 and Antonijevic was a winner in No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-2.
The Lady Bears swept doubles for the other point. The No 1 team of Moreno and Koirala won 6-0, the No. 2 team of Antonijevic and 
Sevval Ozseker won 6-2 and the No. 3 team of 
Jessa Michieli and 
Chetna Kumari won 6-3.
Three seniors were honored before the match. They were Moreno, Ozseker and Kumari.
Shaw swept the two-game season series against Johnson C. Smith. The first meeting in Charlotte, N.C., last month resulted in a 4-0 victory.
The Lady Bears hit the road Saturday, April 15, for a doubleheader against Livingstone in Salisbury, N.C. The match times are 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
