BUFFALO, NY -
Hoslerson Joseph and
Nathan Skeete each scored a hat trick (three goals)Â in an 8-0 men's soccer victory over Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo at Coyer Field on Sunday.
The Bears improved to 8-7-1 with the win. The eight victories are the most in a season for the Shaw men's soccer program. Bryant & Stratton fell to 3-7 overall.Â
Joseph scored all three of his goals in the first half to give the Bears a 3-0 halftime lead.
Jaedyn Saunders was credited with the assist on Joseph's third goal.
Skeete contributed all three of his goals in the second half as the Bears expanded their lead.
Zhane Irving and
Christian Jacques each scored a goal and Irving assisted on Skeete's second goal in the final stanza.
The Bears outshot Bryant & Stratton 14-5 and had more corner kicks (3-2). Winning goalie
Sebastian Brenner collected three saves off five B&S shots.
Shaw plays again Monday, Oct. 30, at home against Mount Olive in Durham, N.C. The match begins at 8 p.m. at Durham County Stadium.
