Raleigh, NC - The Shaw University football team will hit the road for the second straight week as they travel to Charlotte, NC to take on the Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 PM inside the Irwin Belk Complex.
It will be the CIAA Southern Division Opener for both squads.

Shaw (2-3, 2-1 CIAA) returns to the gridiron looking to return to the win column after falling to Virginia State University 28-24 last weekend in Petersburg, VA ending the Bears two game-win streak. Both teams battled through a high-scoring third quarter before VSU scored the game's final touchdown with just over 12 seconds on the clock.

JCSU broke open a 14-14 tie in the second quarter scoring 21 straight points to go head 35-14 at the break before cruising to the 49-14 win.
