Murfreesboro, NC - Facing a familiar foe, the Shaw University volleyball team made light work of their former CIAA foe Chowan University as the Lady Bears came away with a 3-1 win on the road Saturday afternoon. 

The Lady Bears have now won seven straight and improve to 9-6 overall while the Hawks fall to 4-11 overall.

Chowan came away with the first set victory 25-22 before Shaw bullied their way to three straight set wins (25-12, 25-18, and 25-21)

Noelani Beard once again paced the Lady Bears with 15 kills while Mallory Brown added 9 kills and 10 digs. Breelyn Clark chipped in 14 digs along with a team-high 37 assists. 

The Lady Bears will return to CIAA action Monday, October 3rd as they host Bowie State University. First serve is slated for 6 PM inside C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium.
