COLUMBIA, SC – The Shaw University men's tennis team traveled to Benedict College on Tuesday in a non-conference matchup. The Bears were victorious beating the Tigers 6-3 and improve to 8-3 on the season.

Shaw was successful in the two doubles matches that were played. Sergio Cuartas and Diego Choquez defeated their opponents in the No. 1 by a large margin of 8 to 1. Bach Tran and Juan Sanchez also won during the No. 2 doubles match with a score of 8 to 3.

The Bears dominated the singles matches as well. Cuartas, Choquez, Sanchez, and Tran all won their matches at the No. 2, 3, 4, and 5 spots, respectively. Sanchez and Tran both blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0 in their matches.
