FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Shaw lost both of its volleyball matches at the CIAA Round-Up II at Capel Arena on Saturday, September 27, 2014. The Lady Bears lost to The Lincoln University in a four sets and lost to Virginia Union in three sets.

Against The Lincoln University Lions, the Lady Bears won only  one of four sets. The Lady Bears were lead by Ladazia Burris who had 12 kills and Briana Wilson  added nine kills in the 12-25, 17-25, 25-23, 15-25 loss. Burris also had three assists and 14 digs. Sophmore Courtnie Cook had 23 assists and 12 digs, Tiffany Brooks had one assists and 21 digs.

In the Virginia Union loss, Wilson tallied six kills and four digs in a 9-25, 15-25,16-25 loss. Burris had four kills with only two digs. Cook tallied 11 assists and four digs, Tyler paged contributed four kills during the match.

The Lady Bears return to action Sunday, September 28, in the CIAA Round-Up II. They face Bowie State University at 11 a.m. in  Capel Arena.
