(Raleigh, NC) - The Shaw University women's volleyball team lost in three sets (12-25, 14-25, 10-25) to Livingstone College Thursday evening. The Lady Bears were led by freshman outside hitter Ladazia Burris who led the Lady Bears hitters in the match with four kills and seven digs.

Junior middle hitter Tyler Page had two kills for the Lady Bears. As a team, Shaw saw its best hitting come in the second set, totaling seven kills and nine errors on 34 total attempts.

Freshman Defensive Specialist Tiffany Brooks finished the match with seven assists while she also collected eight digs for the match.

The setback puts the Lady Bears record at 0-4 in the CIAA and 0-6 on the season.

The Lady Bears travel to Johnson C. Smith on September 22, the match is set to begin at 6 p.m.
