(Raleigh, NC) - The Shaw University volleyball team lost a CIAA home contest 3-0 on Monday night to visiting Fayetteville State University by the score of 20-25, 19-25, 9-25.

With the loss, Shaw fell to 0-12 overall and to 0-10 in the CIAA while the Broncos improved to 10-2 overall and to 9-1 in conference play.

For Shaw, outside hitter Ladazia Burris paced the squad in kills with eight for the match while outside  hitter Deja Simpson was right behind with six.  Middle hitter Tyler Page and middle hitter Briana Wilson added four and three more, respectively.  Setter  Courtnie Cook dished out 17 assist.

On the defensive side, Simpson fueled the unit with 13 digs while Burris added ten more.  In blocks, Wilson led the way with two solo blocks.

Shaw will next compete in another home CIAA match Thursday October 9th  in a 7:00 p.m. contest against Saint Augustine's University.
